India vs Bangladesh live: Sehwag falls on 175, India carry on


India opener Virender Sehwag scored 175 off 140 balls as India raced to an impressive 350 plus taotal Bangladesh in the World Cup opener at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday. Live Score
India were 358/3 with Yusuf Pathan and Virat Kohli at the crease after Sehwag's dismissal. It was Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan who accounted for the swashbuckling opener after an epic innings that was decorated with 14 fours and five sixes. Afullish ball angling into Sehwag took the bottom edge of his bat and crashed into the stump. India were 355/3 at the stage.
Earlier, Gautam Gambhir fell to Mahmudullah. The ball entered Gambhir's bat-pad gate and crashed into his stumps and he departed for 39 as India slumped to 152/2 in the 24th over.
A mix-up saw Sachin Tendulkar run out on 28 as the India score read 69/1 in 10.5 overs.

The last time India met Bangladesh in the World Cup in 2007, India were bowled out for 191, and Bangladesh chased it down pretty easily.

It was regarded as one of the biggest upsets in the history of World Cups. As tournament hosts clashing in the opening match of the World Cup 2011, the question on everyone's lips is: Will India take their revenge in Bangladesh's own backyard?
